The Sierra peaks are in clouds on this day but Lone Pine Peak, seen above, is the peak seen over the left side of the roof. The peak is about 7.6 miles away as the raven flies. The elevation gain is only 8255 ft and the first 4 miles has a pretty gentle slope.
